You Say Crazy Like It's An Insult

So, the annoyances just keep piling up this week, and I am not enjoying my time at all. We have been working hard to play the puzzle of the schedule this week, because we have two people on vacation, we have one who might be long-time sick, and on top of that, one of the other girls were sick for the first half of the week. In the end, I have taken on quite a few of the hours that needed covering and ended up with a 56 hour work week. I mean, I took it on by myself, I chose this, but that doesn’t mean that I am not tired and slightly annoyed by it. But at least I can comfort myself with the fact that after this week, I am only working for two more weeks before I leave for vacation. I am looking forward to it so much.

The week continued with my PC deciding that it didn’t want to start on Wednesday. It had decided to restart itself over night, likely because of an update or other, and when I tried to start it up in the morning, it just refused to start. It has done this once before, and that time it worked after letting it rest for a few hours, and then it started up just fine. Not so this time. Getting into the weekend we still haven’t figured out why it doesn’t want to start, and D is trying to figure it out in his spare time. This, above everything else, is really annoying me, because there are so many things that I can’t do without my PC. I can’t even contemplate recording for one, and while I can write, it is not really powerful enough to play anything above an RPG Maker game. And while I love those, I want to play the games that I have on the PC. I also want to have access to all of my software and accounts that I don’t have on the laptop, making everything more difficult and annoying. Here’s hoping that it will get fixed soon, before I go completely crazy.

All that said, I felt the need to have something to distract me, and decided that I needed to make myself a drink. We just got a new kind of Red Bull at work, a white can with the taste of coconut, and I decided that I wanted to try mixing it with Malibu rum to really bring out that coconut flavour. It has a really interesting blue colour, and I was really pleased with the taste. It is very coconutty, but sweet at the same time, and it was a nice refresher in the hot weather we have been having lately. And it was exactly the thing I needed to bring my brain back into gear for the final days of work this week.

Hopefully next week will be better.
